With his years working for the state, Logan Johnson brings a new long-term perspective to the town of Ellington. He has a master's degree in accounting from UHart and is a Certified Public Accountant. He grew up in another farm town, Mansfield, and hopes to bring Ellington back to the small-town vibes that drew him to move here five years ago. His four-year-old son and nearly two-year-old daughter inspire him to make sure Ellington is the best town for them to grow up in.
How Will I Help Ellington?
HEALTH AND SAFETY FOR OUR CHILDREN AND RESIDENTS
Fund a full-time, overnight police officer for EVERY night.
Support the Board of Ed for a full-time resource officer in EVERY school.
SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS AND OUR FARMS
Develop a strategic COMMUNITY plan that focuses on improving the quality of life for all Ellington residents.
HELP OUR FARMS with tax abatements and grants to keep our farmers as an integral part of our community.
Promote town-wide economic incentives to attract and keep businesses in Ellington
Protect our open spaces and limit over development of our farmland.
BUILDING A BETTER ELLINGTON FOR ALL RESIDENTS
Support the Property Tax Relief Program for our seniors.
Strive to have the Hall Memorial Library reflect our growing community.
Transparency on all boards is vital for good government.
Actively pursue state grants that directly impact our residents.
Keep Ellington affordable for all families in town.
